A HUNDRED WOWs

Jewish tradition teaches we should be able to say one hundred brakhot a day.
Our lives should be so rich and varied, so filled with awareness, that our souls will want to stretch one hundred times a day!  How many of us experience, in our daily lives, a hundred "wows"?  What a treat it could be to feel so alive to the world that each taste, each scent, each glimpse of the world's beauty would move us to exclaim the miracle of it all. Imagine a day filled with a hundred wonders.

Does this seem beyond reach? It needn't be. Each moment offers us more gifts than we imagine. We wake up and are alive; we have miraculous bodies; we are free; we have minds that learn and hearts that love. We can taste and feel.

Our lives are a banquet of sensations. Take a moment and remember: the tang of tangerine, the sensuous sweetness of milk chocolate, spicy cinnamon
tea, cold watermelon on a hot summer day.  We open our eyes and see the
first flowering trees of spring and dandelion weeds affirming life in the cracks of asphalt.  Hidden wonders lie even in the most mundane tasks of our lives... When we want to acknowledge the miracle of these moments, to remember
them, to log them, we can do this with a brakha.
